IMPORTANT INFORMATION
If you receive a letter from the California Medical Board, requesting you to sign a consent form requesting your medical records, you are not obligated to do so. (Click here for a sample of the letter you may receive.) This letter also threatens if you do not comply, saying that they will subpoena the records from you. Be assured that if you do not comply, Doctor Jimenez will NOT release your records under ANY circumstances. It is his belief that Bonnie Dumanis, District Attorney of San Diego, has illegally obtained a medical patient list from a distressed dispensary that recently closed. Dr. Jimenez urges you to file a complaint with HIPAA. Click here.
This event is a HIPAA violation of doctor/patient confidentiality and Doctor Jimenez has filed a formal complaint with the Department of Health and Human Services, Offices for Civil Rights, and has also retained the services of Bruce M Margolin Esq. Click here.
Dr. Jimenez is Board Certified with the American Board of Family Practice, a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians, and a Doctor of Osteopathy. Dr. Jimenez has never been the target of litigation and has no negative comments on his Hawaii or California Licenses.
Dr. Jimenez hereby certifies that he is duly licensed to practice medicine in the State of California. Dr. Jimenez has not been, nor will be, punished or denied any right or privilege for having recommended medical marijuana to any patient for medicinal purposes (Conant V Walters). The reason for Dr. Jimenez' recommendation is none of the court's business (People v. Spark 2004 - the question of whether the medical use of marijuana is appropriate for a patient's illness is a determination to be made by Dr. Jimenez or other California licensed physician, MD or DO - SB420 11362.7 (a)).
